Produccions del Mar

The Fundació Teatre del Mar, with the objective of having a tool that allowed the proper management of new lines of activity, was created in December 2005. A management instrument that allowed the production and distribution of shows.
Its objectives are:

  • Promote the creation of own contemporary dramaturgy.
  • Review and disseminate classical and universal authors.
  • Increase the theatrical production of the Balearic Islands.
  • Become a center that works for professionals in the Islands.
  • Bring together the artistic capacity of creators.
  • To project the work of our creators to the foreign market.
  • Be a space for searching new scenic languages.

Since January 2006, Produccions del Mar has been in charge of the Teatre del Mar management, the production and distribution of shows and the educational projects "Escena educativa" for students of primary and secondary education in (ESO), and "Escena i Literatura", for students of the 2nd cycle (ESO) and High School.

Own productions for adult audiences

  • 2007 Seqüences, 4 ficcion d'avui, writted and directed by four directors: Biel Jordà, Pere Fullana, Joan C. Bellviure and Rafel Duran.
  • 2009 Camarada K, directed by Joan C. Bellviure. In Catalan and Spanish, he participated in various fairs in the state, and was selected to perform the Circuito de Salas Alternativas.
  • 2011 La Cena, directed by Joan C. Bellviure. In Catalan and Spanish, he participated in various fairs in the state, and was selected to perform the Circuito de Salas Alternativas.
  • 2012 La Visita, directed by Joan C. Bellviure. Show designed to take place in theatrically unconventional spaces, especially at private homes.
  • 2013 El llegat invisible , directed by Joan C. Bellviure. 
  • 2014 Phantasticus, by Carme Planells and Joany Roda, directed by Meritxell Roda.
  • 2015 La Causa, writted and directed bt Joan C. Bellviure.
  • 2018 Els mots que m'han abocat al poble, by Carme Planells, directed by Pere Fullana.


The research space at Teatre del Mar

In the Autom of 2010 the Teatre del Mar set up a new project, the Espai de Recerca del Teatre del Mar (Teatre del Mar's Research Area), which aims to be a meeting place for performing arts professionals wishing to carry out research projects that they can hardly be developed in the conventional system of theatrical production: essays-premiere-tours.
The research works have generated the seed of 3 of the productions that the company has carried out in recent years: La Cena , La Visita and El llegat invisible .
